Masjid Kapitan Keling is the largest mosque in Georgetown and attractions in Penang. It looks beautiful at sunset. It is named ‘captain’ of Keling (South Indian community leaders similar to the Chinese community leader), Cauder Mydin Merican. Whitewashed mosque topped with a large dome Mughal style golden yellow, crescent and star, and has a tower of Indian Muslims who would sound the call to prayer.

Walking through the streets of Georgetown grew a little more interesting, in 2012 the Council hired Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic and breathe new life into some Chinese shophouses atmospheric around the city. Efforts to create awareness of the rich history of painting around the streets, the project was a success with Zacharevic switch certain areas and it flourished as a tourist destination is also being bandied interest among locals and a place of interest in Penang. His work can be seen in the streets like Muntri Street, Weld Quay, Leith Street, Armenian Street, Ah Quee Street and more.

Penang Botanic Gardens are usually just called in Penang Botanic Gardens. Also known as the Waterfall Gardens, parks situated in a valley in Jalan Kebun Bunga. It is a landscape that contains a variety of native and exotic plant species.
There is a ramp at Moon Gate Penang Botanic Gardens which lead up to the Hill: it is about an hour walk. It is a steep but interesting and very useful. Beware, the parks are not called Monkey Park for nothing, there are a lot of monkeys or apes. Kera along this road can be a bit naughty and nimble: do not get too close and do not attempt to feed or touch them because they can bite (plus a fine of $ 500 if you do). In addition to primates, other wildlife that live in the gardens is a dusky leaf monkeys, giant black squirrels and a variety of insects and butterflies.
For the safety of visitors, waterfalls in the gardens has been cordoned off. Park officials opened a guided tour for the public and for organized groups. TransitLink 202 buses run through the route that crosses the Penang Botanic Gardens, on the way to Teluk Bahang.

Bukit Bendera was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia. Consists of Western Hill, Bukit Laksamana, Tiger Hill, Flagstaff Hill and Government Hill, it is located 6 kilometers from Georgetown. Located 821 meters above the capital of Penang, it is usually about five degrees cooler than Georgetown. It was the last tropical rain forest in Penang. Flora and fauna here has been protected since 1960. But it does not have the same priority as Genting Highlands, Fraser’s Hill and Cameron Highlands but it is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Penang.
The most popular way to the top of the hill is the Penang Hill Railway. Located at the foot of the hill, this funicular starts from Air Itam. Built in 1923, it is one of the oldest funicular system in the world and has a 2,007 meter long track that climbs the hill in crawling pace 30 minutes.
